Confidentiality
ESCADV staff recognize the need for confidentiality is critical because of the highly personal and sensitive nature of the services provided.
Privacy
ESCADV staff are prohibited from disclosing to anyone the identities of anyone accessing services or the shelter location. Information may be released only as expressly authorized by the Executive Director or with a signed consent form, dated and specific to a person or agency. Exceptions may be made for non-English speaking clients who require an interpreter to advocate on their behalf; even in those situations, the employee must confirm that the client consents to the communication.
